The Department of Physiology is seeking to appoint a highly skilled and motivated Senior Lecturer at level C in a continuing position. The successful candidate is expected to provide academic research leadership in the area of cardiovascular function and disease and contribute to the implementation of the Department’s operational plan with regard to research excellence, strategy and engagement. The candidate will also design and deliver innovative, high-quality teaching of cardiovascular and related physiology to undergraduate and graduate level students.
PhD in physiology or biomedical sciences or a related discipline.
Skills and Experience required to fulfill the position:
- Demonstrated strong track record in independent and team-based research in Physiology and related disciplines.
- Track record of procuring research grants
- Experience in teaching in a variety of settings (small and large group, research supervision of undergraduate and graduate level students)
- Experience in the supervision or co-supervision and mentoring of Honours and graduate students and other staff where appropriate.
