Department of Animal Biology and Conservation Science under the School of Biological Sciences, University of Ghana invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the following positions: 

LECTURER / SENIOR LECTURER* IN AQUATIC BIOLOGY

The preferred candidate must:

  • Have a BSc in Animal Biology or a related discipline and a PhD in Zoology with strong expertise in Aquatic Biology or Limnology. Knowledge on vector/water borne diseases would be an added advantage.
  • Exhibit capacity to work in a team and promote the development of Animal Biology through programme development, grantsmanship and cutting-edge research.
  • Should not exceed 45 years of age by August 1, 2020. 

*For the position of Senior Lecturer,

  • the candidate should have at least 5 years of relevant experience and should have published at least 10 papers in reputable journals (preferably scopus indexed journals of significant global impact).
  • Demonstrate capacity to establish and lead a vibrant research team to win grants for cutting-edge research.
