CebAI is the new National Centre for Creativity enabled by Artificial Intelligence (AI), based at our Business School, and funded by Research England and City, University of London. It will offer and sell new forms of AI and consulting services to businesses to amplify their creative capabilities, so that these businesses can innovate more regularly and successfully. It will support also these businesses to form new ecosystems that reinforce and grow their creative thinking and innovation capabilities. 

Responsibilities

This senior software developer role will be responsible for co-designing, developed, maintaining, testing and documenting the CebAI product to deliver creativity and creative insights, on-demand, to businesses, as part of the CebAI team. The software engineer will lead co-design activities and user evaluation work with clients, and participate in outreach work to make clients aware of the capabilities of the platform.

Person Specification

The person will have a degree in computer science/software engineering, experience in making major software design decisions with proven development experience in Javascript/TypeScript, Node.js and microservices; full-stack engineering; strong technical, analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills; experience working with AWS cloud computing services; good grasp of data structures and algorithms; experience building REST APIs that expose JSON resources; passion for engineering products, technology and AI; and, creativity in problem solving and algorithmic thinking.
