The post of Management Accountant is part of the research finance team in the finance directorate. Research finance provides post award finance support to the research and enterprise activities carried out by the research and enterprise office. The post deals with management reporting, financial accounting and system aspects of post award finance

Responsibilities

The role is responsible for the preparation of periodic management reports, annual external reports on research and enterprise activities. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring complete and accurate recognition of research and enterprise income. They will also be involved in leading on system and process improvements in post award research and enterprise finance.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level and/or hold a professional accountancy qualification with relevant accounting experience in a finance department/team.

They will also have excellent analytical and business partnering skills and be a team player whilst being able to work independently with minimum management supervision.
