City, University of London Students’ Union is the primary organisation representing the views of over 20,000 students. With three full-time Student Officers, a team of permanent staff and the involvement of student volunteers, the Union is at the heart of activity on campus. The Union delivers a range of services and support for members, from independent academic advice to supporting our Programme Representatives to enhance their course and promoting the employability and development of students.

Responsibilities

To oversee the delivery of student activity on and off campus (Student Groups, Communities, Volunteering, Employability and our Reception)
2. To direct, support and enhance the delivery of key events and engagement projects
3. To lead, develop, drive and monitor the operational and strategic planning for the Student Activities & Development Team.

Person Specification

We looking for a professional and committed person to join the Union. Reporting to the Deputy CEO this exciting role will support the operational and strategic function of the Student Activities & Development Team.

The core delivery areas of the team include: Societies, Student Media, Raising and Giving (RAG), Student Communities, Volunteering, Employability and Events.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, resilient, highly organized and able to develop and support students and staff to deliver a diverse range of opportunities. They should have excellent attention to detail and will enable the organisation to deliver interesting projects which engage a variety of different stakeholders.

Whilst all applications will be judged on merit alone, we particularly welcome applications from people of colour, as this group is currently under-represented within the Union.
