Job Details
An opening for postdoctoral research fellow (RF) position is now available in the School of Biological Science (SBS) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. The respective projects are part of a newly established National Research Foundation (NRF)-funded Competitive Research Program (CRP) and involves two laboratories in SBS and one in A*STAR.
Responsibilities
The RF will work in the laboratory of the lead PI Prof Peter Dröge on the development of a new platform for improved protein therapeutics (e.g. antibodies, factor VIII) produced by mammalian expression systems using our own propriety genome editing tool that is based on variants of phage lambda integrase. The work involves mammalian cell culturing, protein purification, biochemical assays, genome editing analysis and many standard molecular biology techniques. Proven work experience in these fields and a keen interest in biotechnology is a prerequisite.
Requirements
PhD with proven work experience in Molecular and Cell Biology in general and algal biology and mammalian cell culture techniques in particular.

The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

• Excellent academic records and research potential.

Terms and Conditions:

• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
