Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Chemistry (Ref.: 501752), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Electronic Engineering or other relevant disciplines, and a strong background in fabrication of organic light-emitting diode (OLED) and/or organic microelectronics.  They should have a good publication track record, and experience in conducting and managing scientific research as well as demonstrated expertise in research field relevant to the platform project mentioned below are required.  They should also have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, the ability to work independently as well as in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and external parties including academics and industrial society.  The appointee will participate in a multidisciplinary research to develop a big data/machine learning/scientific computing platform for utilising novel photoluminescent materials in OLED.  It is a 5-year large-scale project supported by the Innovation and Technology Commission which aims to transfer the success of research in luminescent materials and OLED to industrial application.  Working off-campus may be required.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.
