(Tenure-Track/Tenured) Associate Professor in Chinese Medicine

The School of Biological Sciences (SBS) at Nanyang Technological University was established in 2002 with the mission to make a strong contribution to biological and biomedical sciences. Since then, many talented individuals from around the world and Singapore have joined SBS as scientific leaders, and researchers. Research areas at SBS include infectious diseases, immunology, neurodegenerative diseases and telomere biology and genome function.
Since 2005 the School of Biological Sciences offers a bilingual Double Degree Programme in Biomedical Sciences and Chinese Medicine, which is and a collaboration between NTU and Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (BUCM). This innovative “East Meets West” programme aims to train students in 21st century Biomedical Sciences as well as the principles and practice of Chinese Medicine. The NTU Chinese Medicine Clinic was established in 2009 as a Singapore TCM Practitioners Board approved teaching clinic for the double degree programme. The NTU Chinese Medicine Clinic also provides outpatient Chinese Medicine services.
Requirements
We are looking for an outstanding academic with a strong track record in teaching and research (preferably clinical research) related to Chinese Medicine. The candidate should possess a relevant Ph.D. degree in Chinese Medicine/Public Health (or equivalent) from a reputable university.
Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be involved in undergraduate teaching for the double degree programme as well as conduct research in relevant areas. Additionally, he/she will be the Director of the double degree programme and the NTU Chinese Medicine Clinic and may practice in the NTU Chinese Medicine Clinic (subject to possessing local qualification).

The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

• Excellent academic records and research potential.

Terms and Conditions:
