The Office for Environmental Programs (OEP) and the School of Ecosystem and Forest Sciences (SEFS) are seeking to continue its provision of excellence in environmental sustainability through appointing an early career academic to a lectureship in the broad fields of Environmental Management and Sustainability Science. We seek an academic with an enthusiasm for the environment and a strong commitment to delivery of high-quality research-led teaching to a diverse cohort of graduate research and coursework students.

In this role you will work independently and in teams to contribute to interdisciplinary teaching, research, engagement and service to the University. You will play a significant role in the University’s cross-faculty Office for Environmental Programs (OEP), contributing to graduate level teaching within this program, and developing innovative approaches to sustainability education.  You will provide leadership and service to the University, especially through supporting academic coordination of the OEP.

The interdisciplinary School of Ecosystem and Forest Sciences is extending its breadth of expertise in environmental physical and social sciences. You will complement existing expertise through your expertise in Environmental Management and/or Sustainability Science and assist in increasing the impact and relevance of research and industry engagement in this field. 

You will be based in the Office for Environmental Programs and report to the Director of the OEP. You will work closely with small academic and professional team of the OEP and with academics from across the University who contribute to teaching in the environmental program. You will also develop an active research program within SEFS and will collaborate with academics in this School and the wider university community.
