REGISTRARRegistrar’s Office, to lead and direct the strategic and operational activities associated with ensuring the integrity of academic information, advancing curricular innovation, and developing and maintaining academic infrastructure. Responsibilities will include interpreting, implementing, and enforcing academic policies/procedures and applicable federal laws; collaborating on setting the vision and establishing common goals and critical success factors for all student information systems; and overseeing processes associated with gathering and disseminating curricular and academic policy information. 

Job Requirements

REQUIRED bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred); ten years’ experience in a registrar’s office environment, including experience at a high level in a similar institution and that encompasses planning in a highly complex organization; knowledge of best practices and trends in student record-keeping, data systems, scheduling management, classroom needs, pedagogical trends, and strategic planning around facilities; commitment to proactive communication, inclusiveness, transparency, and consensus building; willingness to listen and learn; commitment to students, student success, and the value of student leadership; facility with data, student learning management systems, technology implementations, and strategic decision making around technology; commitment to absolute data integrity, impeccable record-keeping, and overall compliance; experience managing classroom space; track record of working within and an appreciation of shared governance structures and culture; ability to partner with faculty; comfort delegating to a high performing team; experience building, developing, retaining, and evaluating an effective team and emphasizing professional development of staff; and a demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equity. Seek a visible, team-oriented leader who values a collaborative environment and has an appreciation for MIT’s spirit of innovation and entrepreneurialism and its pedagogical approaches including experiential and project-based learning. Job #18719-14
