Post-Doctoral Research Officer of The DSP Centre of Excellence  (3 posts)

Salary: £33,797- £40,322 (Grade 7) p.a.  

Applications are invited for three  post-doctoral research officer positions based in the digital signal processing (DSP) Centre within the Optical Communications Research Group (OCRG) in the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering, Bangor University.

The scheme is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Welsh Government, EU Funds: Investing in Wales.

Candidates should hold PhD degrees (or near completion - or degree-equivalent) in a relevant area of engineering or science and have expertise in one or more of the following areas: 
i) Optical/wireless transmission systems;
ii) Optical/wireless access networks; 
iii) High-speed optical/wireless devices;
iv) DSP algorithms and their real-time FPGA implementation.

The successful candidates will be expected to commence as soon as possible and the posts are  initially fixed term positions until 30/06/2023.

Duties will include undertaking theoretical and/or experimental research in one or more of the aforementioned projects by proposing and verifying advanced techniques capable of satisfying specific technical objectives.
