Applications are invited for appointment as Research Officer in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 500611), to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree, preferably a Ph.D. degree, in public health or a related discipline, with at least 3 years’ work experience in project management, accounting and financial management.  They should also be familiar with applied public health and population sciences research, have an understanding of health and healthcare systems, and have excellent skills in the application and use of spreadsheet software. Report writing skills will be an advantage.  The appointee will collect and analyse data, produce reports, oversee financial management and accounting of various projects and perform general administrative, operational and any other duties as assigned.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
