This is an exciting time to join an organisation with an important role in the UK's world-class higher education sector.

Higher education is changing across the UK, and QAA is evolving to meet its needs. We are the UK's independent quality body for higher education with a mission to safeguard and improve the quality of UK higher education, wherever it is delivered in the world. QAA works as the Designated Quality Body for higher education in England, and our new membership scheme was launched in August 2019. We're changing the way we work and introducing new services to benefit universities and colleges throughout the UK and support their operation globally.

About the role:

We’re looking for a talented and enthusiastic Director of Membership, Quality Enhancement & Standards who shares our commitment to improving and promoting the UK’s world-class reputation for delivering a quality higher education experience for all students.

This role reports into the Executive Director of Operations and is responsible for the Membership, Quality Enhancement and Standards team, leading on the management and delivery of QAA’s membership experience.

This role is pivotal in driving growth for QAA - a key strategic priority, maximising opportunities and ensuring operational efficiency.

About you:

We are looking for someone that has experience and understanding of higher education, gained through extensive exposure to a range of (ideally registry or planning) roles and can build and develop customer relationships at a senior level.

It is important that you have solid project management and planning skills, as well as a thorough understanding of customer, brand and service development.

We are interested in attracting people who are committed to the mission and values of QAA and who bring the skills and experience required to ensure QAA delivers its strategic aims.

To apply for this role, please submit your CV with a covering letter. Many of our employees work flexibly in different ways, including part-time and compressed hours. Please let us know about the flexibility you need in your application.

QAA values equality and diversity and recognises the benefits this brings. We welcome applications from all qualified people and are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives and skills.
