The Role

Applications are invited for a Research Assistant position in the animal cells and systems group as maternity cover for another member of staff. The post is for 9 months full time within its Department of Biosciences to support ongoing research. The successful applicant will have expertise in mammalian cell biology and tissue culture and will become part of a team including four PDRAs, nine post-graduate students, a technician and will report directly to the project Principal Investigator, Professor Stefan Przyborski. He/she will undertake research in the laboratory that will develop novel three-dimensional bioengineered human tissue models and evaluate the action of actives on model structure and function under alternative conditions. The successful candidate will join a vibrant research group that is making a value contribution to one of the Department's strategic research objectives i.e. to build on its strong impact agenda.
