The School of Education at University College Dublin seeks to appoint a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Educational Leadership and Teacher Education. The duration of the appointments is five years, commencing in September 2020.

The appointee will be expected to work collaboratively with School of Education colleagues in the teaching (both face to face and online) of a range of modules within a suite of programmes in Educational Leadership and on the Professional Master of Education (PME) programme. The appointee will also engage in research supervision at both Masters and Doctoral level.

The successful candidate will ideally be a scholar who has completed a PhD in Educational Leadership or a cognate area in Education, and who is publishing in peer-reviewed academic journals. S/he will have experience of teaching at postgraduate level and a familiarity with, and experience of, the education system in Ireland at either primary or post-primary level.

The appointee is expected to participate actively in the academic life of the School and make a commensurate contribution to school administration.

Salary: €53,773- €84,544 per annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
