The Joint NTU-UBC Research Centre of Excellence in Active Living for the Elderly (LILY) invites applications for the position of Project Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Closely watch the project schedule, monitoring deadlines and deliverables, ensure the deadlines and requirements are met
  • Coordinate project meetings and facilitate flow of essential information among project team members
  • Meet regularly with the Principal Investigator (PI) to report and review progress and to discuss future steps
  • Identify any potential issues or risks that could affect the progression of the project, report to the PI and propose possible solutions
  • Communicate with collaborator and external parties on issues related to project management

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline
  • Proficient in Python and C/C++ programming
  • Sufficient experience in building, debugging and testing iOS and Android applications
  • Good understanding in machine learning, artificial intelligence related topics
  • Experience with back-end system (e.g. Python Django, PHP Laravel, Ruby on Rails), integrating services using AJAX, RESTful APIs, and front-end web development is preferred
  • Experience of managing research projects and teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to be able to communicate effectively
  • Evidence of the ability to collaborate actively within the University and externally
  • Good interpersonal skills and time management

The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility: 

• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university. 

Terms and Conditions: 
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.  
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
