The University of Newcastle's Business School (NBS) has received international acclaim for its programs through accreditation from the USA-based Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). In addition, our HRM major in the Bachelor of Business and our Master of Human Resource Management programs are accredited by the Australian Human Resources Institute.

Based at our Ourimbah campus on the Central coast, this role contributes to the delivery of the University’s Strategic Plan in the fields of Human Resource Management and/or Employment Relations as a key member of the NBS, providing excellence in research and innovation, teaching and learning, and service and engagement. The Lecturer combines sound academic research expertise with undergraduate and postgraduate teaching experience; is expected to be a course coordinator; and is gaining recognition for contributing to research, teaching, and postgraduate supervision;as well as contributing to community engagement. The role works closely with regional, national and/or international practitioners in Human Resource Management and Employment Relations.

You will have a strong commitment to research and industry engagement and contacts and interest in working collaboratively within the NBS and business community.

The remuneration for these positions starts from $99,213 FTE + 17% superannuation.

The University’s College of Engineering, Science and Environment (CESE) brings together expertise in engineering, environment, and the sciences to deliver life ready graduates and transformative solutions to our region and the world.  CESE strives for excellence, innovation and equity in teaching, education, research and partnerships.  We are global leaders uncovering new knowledge, creating revolutionary technology, and delivering innovative teaching.

The School of Engineering is one of the most research-intensive Schools within the University.  The School consists of four discipline groupings:

  • Civil and Environmental Engineering and Surveying
  • Chemical and Renewable Energy Engineering
  • Aerospace Systems, Electrical, Computer Systems
  • Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering

The School is home to many leading-edge research centres and has strong links with industry through sponsored undergraduate students and research collaborations.
