The Centre for Healthcare Analytics is a new initiative that builds on the established reputation of the Centre for Operational Research, Management Science and Information Systems (CORMSIS) for healthcare modelling with the support of NIHR ARC Wessex. NIHR ARC Wessex is providing funds to pump prime this post and the expectation is the post holder will develop a stream of work that aligns with the ARC programme. The Centre will promote collaboration between the University of Southampton and the healthcare sector in the specific areas of analytics and data science, through research, consultancy and student projects.

We are looking for an experienced project manager with experience within healthcare for the development of the Centre and promoting its activities. You will lead on business development; building relationships with a range of external organisations in the healthcare sector in order to generate new projects and build partnerships for research grant applications. The individual will also be responsible for the provision of support and expert advice to academic staff and students through the whole project lifecycle, from bid writing through to dissemination of results.

You will have a PhD or equivalent professional qualification in either a quantitative or a healthcare-related discipline with significant experience of working in the healthcare sector. In addition, you will have experience at a senior level in undertaking and managing projects and a strong understanding of working with health data.
