We are looking for a Project Officer to join our dynamic research team at the Institute for Media Innovation (IMI), Nanyang Technological University. This will be an exciting opportunity to be exposed in a cutting-edge and interactive research environment where the Project Officer will be able to work with a realistic and intelligent humanoid named Nadine as well as several other social robots.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Writing reports autonomously
  • Writing academic papers
  • Being able to do research with limited supervision

Job Requirements: 

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree from a reputed university in the field of Computer Science, Social Robotics or Computer Engineering
  • Experience in a few of the areas as listed below:
    • Excellent knowledge in any topic in Vision or Computer Graphics
    • Proficient in one or more coding language like C/C++, Python, Java etc
    • Hands on experience in one or more listed area: 3D modelling technology, machine learning, VR or AR
    • Any know-how in recognition of emotions, objects and gestures

About Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF)

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.

The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility: 

• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university. 

Terms and Conditions: 
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.  
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
