We are looking for a talented bio/informatician to join our research team in the group of Prof. Ondřej Slabý at CEITEC MU, Brno, CZ (https://www.ceitec.eu; http://slabylab.ceitec.cz/).

We're interested in the analysis of molecular changes in various solid malignancies using different Next-generation sequencing methods (Whole Exome/Genome Sequencing, RNA sequencing, methylome sequencing etc.).

The focus of the position will be:

• Computational analysis of genomic data
• Implementation of analytical pipelines
• Development of software tools

Skills in scripting languages (R, Python) and good spoken and written English are essential. Candidates of any level of education are encouraged to apply. Candidates with experience in high-throughput sequencing data analysis, machine learning and statistics, as well as in biology and medicine, and first-author publications will be favored.

The working capacity is preferably full-time, but a half-time contract is negotiable. The salary will be set based on candidate’s experience with a possible increase after the probation period.
