The appointee will work in the Gut-Brain Axis research team with a research focus relating to new drug discovery and investigation of the basic mechanism and new drug discovery for diseases including inflammatory bowel diseases, functional constipation and irritable bowel syndrome. The appointee will also be responsible for supervising research assistants and writing grant proposals. In addition, he/she will take up some teaching duties in biomedical science.

Applicant should possess a PhD Degree in pharmacology, molecular biology, gut microbiology, or related discipline with three years of postdoctoral research experience. Those with good publication record, and experience in project design and grant application would be preferred. The appointee should also possess strong project leadership skills and be a good team player.

Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two to three years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review, mutual agreement and availability of funding. 

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
