Job Description

Highly motivated individuals are invited to submit their applications to a PhD program at the Chemical Engineering Department, UAE University. The project is to investigate catalytic selective hydrogenation of thiophenic compounds over ceria-based materials. The project involves experimental and theoretical tasks. The duration of the research project is 2 years, with a possible extension of 6 months. The package includes a monthly allowance of 7,600 AED, and medical insurance.

Minimum Qualification

M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering

Preferred Qualification

• Commitment to provide a safe and healthy workplace
• To have an experience in surface characterizations (XRD) and chemical Analysis (FTIR, GC-MS), preferably demonstrated by being the first author in a Q1-ranked international journal.
• The candidate must meet the admission criteria at UAEU (i.e., minimum of 6.5 in academic IELTS, only tests from centers of the British Council are accepted).
