The opportunity

Co-creating Community Capability is an innovative Program of research and action that will promote the flourishing of children and young people in two disadvantaged communities: Brimbank in Victoria and Logan in Queensland. The Program is funded through an $11M Grant (over 5 years) from the Paul Ramsay Foundation.

The Program's objective is to generate new knowledge and methodologies for Co-created Community Capability that empower those who design, deliver, and use education and community services to 'shift the dial' for children and young people in disadvantaged communities across Australia.

This is a fixed term (up to five years), full time position based at the Logan campus. Griffith is a multi-campus university and therefore it is understood that this position will work across campuses as required.

About you

The Director will provide vision, leadership and collegial management of the Co-creating Community Capability Program. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the discipline areas of either of the Program themes, and/or in place based-community transformation. Demonstrated excellence and achievement in leadership and project management, coupled with experience in community-based research to inform program development will be essential.

Salary range

Professor, Level E: $182,873 per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation contribution: $213,962 per annum.
