The School of Mathematics, Computer Science & Engineering is a multi-disciplinary centre of research and education located in the heart of London’s vibrant design community. It is proud of its research advances and of educating thousands of undergraduates and postgraduates in STEM subjects.

We are looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Software Developer for one of our projects, “Citydefend protecting your online data” which involves developing a searchable encryption technology.  You must have experience of translating requirements into solutions in the marketplace.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate would be required to analyze user/client requirement; write, refine and rewrite test codes as necessary and communicate with the technical lead and the project team. You would research, design and write new software programs in addition to developing existing programs; integrate existing software products; create technical specifications, write operational documentation and produce a configuration management and user manual for the tool.

You would work closely with project managers, graphic artists, UX designers, other developers, systems analysts and sales and marketing professionals.

Person Specification

The postholder should be expert coders in languages such as iOS, Java, C++, HTML, CSS with significant experience in the cybersecurity industry.  You must be an expert of implementing cryptographic algorithms and using cryptographic libraries and with integrating/ deploying projects to the public clouds. You must possess excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, and must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
