Job Details
Rolls-Royce@NTU Corporate Lab is currently looking for a candidate to join them as a Research Assistant to support research for the project titled: AI for Smart Discovery.
Job Responsibilities:
- Integrate research outcomes/open source from various projects
- Build prototype based on the developed model and algorithms, and testing them for functionality and performance
- Work with industry partners to test and adapt these prototypes to their needs
- Deploy and integrate research outcomes in industry environment
- Assist in developing models and algorithms for data analytics
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or proven hands-on experience in software development, or related areas
- Proficient with programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Javascript) and ability to build prototype and software systems
- Ready to take on existing project development work and continue the development work seamlessly
- Knowledge of data analytics workflow
- Familiar with web development and front-end development
- Familiar with relational databases and experience in No-SQL database will be advantageous
- Experience working with multiple operating systems/platforms and cloud computing will be advantageous
- Excellent ability to communicate clearly, with the ability to work with a team of researchers and industry

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.
The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility:
• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university.
Terms and Conditions:
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
