Due to the impact caused by COVID-19 on MENA’s universities, the Times Higher Education will be running a series of “HR webinars” on how to approach recruitment, legal hazards, and onboarding during the pandemic. We are convening three panels comprising of human resource professionals and university leaders from some of MENA’s top universities, as well as engaging contributors from outside of the region and from industry.

The second webinar in the THE HR webinar series, entitled “Legal hazards in MENA and COVID-19” will consist of a panel discussion touching on the legal challenges facing MENA’s universities in the human resource space. This will be followed by an open question and answer session.

Synopsis: How can universities best protect themselves when recruiting new faculty during COVID-19? We will look at how contracts will change and how universities should articulate this to incoming faculty.
