A Research Assistant (part-time) position is currently available in the Division of Business Law, Nanyang Business School.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the PI in company law and corporate governance research
  • Search and catalog the latest literature (including but not limited to case law, journal articles and other legal/scholarly literature, news articles etc) on company law, corporate governance, and private international law
  • Assist in preparation of manuscript(s) according to guidelines issued by the PI

Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate Law degree (LLB / BA (Law) / BA (Jurisprudence)) with at least three (3) semesters of coursework or Graduate Law Programme (Graduate LLB / JD) from an Anglophone common law jurisdiction (including Singapore)
  • Excellent written communication abilities and familiarity (or at least a willingness to learn) with legal research methods and databases

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.

The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility: 

• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university. 

Terms and Conditions: 
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.  
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
