Rolls-Royce@NTU Corporate Lab is looking for a candidate to join them as a Senior Research Engineer.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design Embedded hardware for the various converters designed in the project - including AC/DC, DC/AC, DC/DC converters and solid state power controllers
• Work with the power electronics team, project lead and principal investigator for deriving detailed requirements
• Conduct the concept, preliminary and detail designs for the converter systems
• Be a part of the Hardware circuit component selection in compliance with standards
• Supervise and provide directions to junior staff and interns who are part of the project team

Job Requirements:

• A Bachelor / Master degree in Electrical Engineering and experience in embedded system
• More than 15 years of experience in the industry
• Demonstrated technical knowledge pertaining to embedded systems
• Experience in embedded hardware, controller design, FPGA, DSP analog circuit and digital circuit design, multi-layer PCB design, software and tools 
• Knowledge on power converters and controller design would be an advantage
• Excellent programming skills, experience in MATLAB/Simulink/ embedded programming and software tools
• Experience in cadenace/ altium software or other circuit simulation and PCB design software experience 
• Exposure to firmware development and Ethernet/CAN and other communication methods will be an added advantage
• Excellent debugging skills
• Documenting the Project related information like Flow Diagrams, Requirement specifications, Test Schedule
• Ability to work independently and working in team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in high power motor drives  test rig development would be added advantage
