Job Details
Nanyang Environment And Water Research Institute (NEWRI) - Residues and Resource Reclamation Centre (R3C) invites applications for the position of Research Assistant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on basic experiments such as operation of a lab-scale setup, sample testing, preparation and analysis of gas samples
- Designing and building of experimental setups
- Sampling of syngas/flue gas
- Conduct literature review
- Prepare technical reports and presentations
Job Requirements:
- B.Sc in environmental engineering or chemical engineering
- High motivation for research and development
- Good written and oral skills in English
- Experience in carrying out independent research as well as to be able to work in a team
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent teamwork awareness
- Strong responsibility for research / work

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.
The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility:
• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university.
Terms and Conditions:
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
