Department of Physical Electronics at the Faculty of Science MU provides courses and guarantees fundamental and applied research in the fields of plasma physics, plasma applications, and nanotechnology. It has a tradition of more than 50 years. The R&D Centre for Plasma and Nanotechnology Surface Modifications CEPLANT was established in 2010 as part of the Department of Physiical Electronics and was funded by European Structural Funds and has been recognized by the European Union as a Key Enabling Technologies (KET´s) centre.

Job Description

Key Duties:

  • Teaching physical laboratories and specialized courses in general and plasma physics 
  • Leading seminaries of mandatory physics courses 
  • Supervising of student thesis
  • Research work in plasma physics with a focus on studying the deposition process of thin layer growth

Skills and Qualifications

  • PhD from physics, ideally specializing in plasma physics or thin films physics.
  • Pedagogic practice: at least 3 years; involved in teaching of physical laboratories and specialized plasma physics courses and conducting the final work is welcomed.
  • Good English language (in both word and lettering).
  • Publication activity and citation impact, at least 15 articles in journals registered in the Web of Science database.
  • Plasma physics expertise focusing on studying the deposition process for thin-layer growth
  • Acquisition of long-term foreign research stays or other similar research experience with researches from abroad
