The School of Biological Sciences invite applications for the position of Research Fellow.

Job Description

The Research Fellow will work on pre-clinical development of a cancer immunotherapy using cancer neoantigen and tumor derived exosomes. The goal of this project is to develop novel cancer immunotherapy targeting cancers resistance to current checkpoint blocking inhibitor. We have discovered novel tumour neoantigens using proteomics methods, now we would like to recruit a highly motivated research fellow to perform a pre-clinical study of the neoantigens to activate the host immunity to reject the tumour, and to translate the novel discovery to clinical use.

Job Requirements

  • Doctorate degree in Cancer Biology and Cancer Immunology
  • Candidates with strong background in cancer biology, cancer neoantigens, immunology, molecular and cell biology are strongly encouraged to apply.

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.

The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility: 

• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university. 

Terms and Conditions: 
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.  
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
