Rolls-Royce@NTU Corporate Lab is inviting applicants for the position of Research Fellow in the Engineering Artificial Intelligence (EAI) group.

Job Responsibilities

  • Research, develop, integrate, demonstrate, and deliver AI-powered design engineering capabilities
  • Interface with Rolls-Royce business and technical stakeholders to align R&D outcomes with industrial requirements
  • Actively identify gaps in existing methods / techniques / proposals against requirements, propose improvements, and drive implementations
  • Contribute to creation of new IP (Papers, Invention Disclosures, Patents)
  • Active representation in international top-tier conferences, external corporate and government engagements, to present EAI Group activities/capabilities, and enhance overall Corporate Lab profile
  • Work with Corporate Lab managers, Rolls-Royce leaders, and NTU Professors to secure external funding proposals

Job Requirements

  • PhD in Computer Science and related disciplines, with a focus on AI, Machine Learning, or Optimization
  • Numerical/Scientific computing using Python and MATLAB
  • Experience in global and local optimization technologies
  • Hands on experience in data generation, collection, and preprocessing
  • Excellent in rapid implementation / prototyping of research ideas
  • Good scientific communication, presentation, writing skills
  • Prior experience in, or exposure to, any of the following domain(s) (e.g. through internship or employment) is a plus: Aerospace / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
  • Numerical/Scientific computing using C / C++
  • Principles and practices for software development/engineering/lifecycle/quality management
