Job Description
The Associate Director of the Office of Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Programs (Associate Director) aids in the development of comprehensive programs to support the University’s strategic aim of inclusive excellence and assure compliance with its local, state, and federal equal opportunity and affirmative action responsibilities. In addition, the Associate Director helps educate members of the community about University policies related to equity, nondiscrimination, and inclusion and provides advice and technical assistance. They also aid in the design of proactive strategies and initiatives to promote equal opportunity. The Associate Director investigates complaints of unlawful discrimination or harassment and aids in the development of appropriate resolutions. In addition, the Associate Director helps prepare the University’s affirmative action plans for women, minorities, people with disabilities, and covered veterans and reviews and approves requests for reasonable accommodations for disabilities for faculty and staff.
Bachelor's degree with 3-7 years of directly related experience, Master's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.; Experience in the investigation and resolution of complaints of discrimination and the development of appropriate intervention strategies; excellent verbal and written communication skills required; experience in training or delivery of educational programs preferred; experience working in a college or university preferred.
