Job Description Summary

The Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania is the oldest and one of the finest medical schools in the United States. Job Description

Responsible for both strategic planning and day to day management of complex and broad range of projects conducted with collaborators both internal and external to Penn. Collaborates with Center Principal Investigators to develop fundable ideas and create budgets, write, review and upload grant proposals. Responsible for post award management of the Center's multi-million dollar portfolio of research grants awarded by the federal government, private foundations, internal Penn sources, clinical partners and others. Manages grants from Principal Investigators to create a consolidated Center budget enabling growth of Center's research infrastructure and ensure all salaries and expenses are allocated appropriately. Ensures compliance with sponsor, university, school and IRB policies.

Responsible for strategic communications and collaborations including oversight of the Center website and institutional relationships between the Center and external research partners around the world. He/she will help develop the team's research strategy and will have ample opportunities to lead projects and co-author papers. Will be required to ensure that studies/research are conducted safely and according to protocol, provide supervision to educators and teams conducting the study/interventions and collaborates with peers from other Universities and funding agencies. Will also be responsible for coordinating grant applications and interacts with funding administrators and the University Business Office. Provides significant contributions to presentations and manuscripts, including multiple drafts for review and dissemination. Plays a primary role in other dissemination activities related to project findings.

Qualifications

Master's Degree with 5-7 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
