The University of Chicago's Department of Surgery, Section of Colon and Rectal Surgery, seeks a Clinical Associate at 50% effort for a nonrenewable one‐year term. The appointee will perform colorectal surgery procedures, manage benign analrectal disorders and manage complicated colon & rectal cancers, along with IBD. This position will enhance the Colon & Rectal surgery service, bringing needed depth to the Section of Colon & Rectal Surgery.
We especially welcome applicants with laparoscopic experience. Compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) is dependent on qualifications.
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be Board certified or eligible in General Surgery and Colorectal Surgery, and 4) have completed an accredited fellowship or equivalent in General Surgery and Colon & Rectal Surgery.
