Job Description Summary
The Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania is the oldest and one of the finest medical schools in the United States. Skilled laboratory technicians that works with complex systems or perform highly technical mechanical or diagnostic tests in medical or scientific laboratories. Assists the laboratory manager to perform complex laboratory maintenance tasks and other laboratory projects, as assigned. Will assists senior level researchers on various supervised research projects within the lab. The technician will carry out routine tasks such as preparation of media and reagents, place orders for supplies, help maintain inventory and place lab equipment in their designated areas at the end of the day. He/she will gather data from experiments, complete data entry and analyze data in collaboration with Principal Investigators and postdoctoral researchers - with the intent of presenting research results in laboratory meetings.
Bachelor's Degree and 0-1 year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
