RESEARCH SUPPORT ASSOCIATE, Biology, to assist with protein expression, purification, and analysis and help spearhead general lab organization and upkeep with input from lab members. Routine tasks also include preparing stock solutions and autoclaving, generating competent cells, and running kinetic assays.
REQUIRED: full-time laboratory experience; solid working knowledge of molecular biology and protein biochemistry; experience with routine biological and biochemical techniques and willingness to learn new methods; computer skills, including proficiency with standard data management programs (Excel); self-motivation; good organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; and a commitment to meeting high quality standards by paying meticulous attention to detail and practicing rigorous documentation skills. Should be familiar with routine chemical and biological safety practices and able to pay close attention to basic safety practices, follow safety procedures, and maintain a safe work environment. A B.S. degree in biology or biochemistry is preferred. Job #18276-4
