DIRECTOR, STRATEGIC AND PARTNER PROGRAMSSolve, to spearhead the business development, execution, and expansion of Solve’s custom challenge offerings and develop the strategy for and execution of new custom programs that help Solve realize its mission and ambitious growth. Solve is an MIT initiative and marketplace for social impact innovation whose mission is to solve world challenges. Will be responsible for significant revenue generation through renewals, new clients, and new product development; and oversee and supervise three full-time staff and possible consultants.  Duties will include leading and overseeing prospect and client relations for Solve’s custom challenges and programs; generating leads and managing negotiations with interested custom challenge/program partners to close contracts and drive significant revenue generation; executing current and future program commitments, including challenge launch, promotion, judge recruitment, finalist selection, pitching events, and post-event support with existing clients; driving renewals of existing clients; producing and facilitating world-class events and workshops; and supporting the executive director as a key member of the leadership team. 

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  bachelor’s degree; at least eight years' project management experience, including at least three in partnership, business development, or fund-raising for events, social impact, or nonprofit organizations; at least three years' experience managing staff; ability to effectively build relations with world-class corporate, foundation, and individual partners/sponsors; ability to deliver multimillion dollar annual targets, designing and closing partnership packages; ability to build on Solve’s contacts in relevant international corporations/foundations; experience working in a complex multilayered environment with multiple stakeholders; and strong organizational, management, decision-making, leadership, and verbal and written communication skills.  

PREFERRED master’s degree and knowledge of at least one foreign language. Job #18778-11
