Job Details
School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering is looking for a candidate to join them as a Research Associate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out numerical analyses
- Conduct on-site tests of the waste heat recovery on Jurong Island
- Write various kinds of technical reports
- Prepare bidding files and support all administrative-related work to the project
- Involved in the project operations, e.g., arranging meetings, communicating with different involving parties
Requirements:
- A Master’s degree in mechanical/thermal engineering field
- Strong background in thermodynamics/hydrodynamics
- Experience in flow and process control
- It would be advantageous if the candidate has two-year research/working experience in research and development of new products/systems as well as three-year research/working experience in project management
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with the project PI and Co-PIs as we all as research collaborators
- Highly motivated and independent
- Good command of written and spoken English

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.
The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility:
• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university.
Terms and Conditions:
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
