Job Details
School of Computer Science and Engineering invites applications for the position of Research Associate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build robust pretraining methods like BERT and XLNET
- Design and implement transfer learning for domain adaptation
- Devise methods for topic clustering and labeling
- Write research papers of high quality based on research results
- Build deployable systems based on the research results
Job Requirement:
- Master's degree in Computer Science & Engineering or related fields
- Excellent background and research experience in machine learning, deep learning and probabilistic models
- Publication record in top-tier venue related to machine learning and NLP
- Programming Skills such as Python, Pytorch
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.
The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility:
• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university.
Terms and Conditions:
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
