Job Details
Singapore Centre for 3D Printing invites applications for the position as Research Associate.
The Research Associate will work in the area of design and 3D printing biomedical assistive devices and has opportunities and collaborate with other capable and experienced researchers in the centre.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, plan and implement original research projects in cooperation with the Principal Investigator
- Design, development and 3D printing of assistive devices
- Advanced component design using Autodesk Powershape and Meshmixer
- Conduct user trials and testing of 3D printed components
- Liaise with project stakeholders, including funding agencies, industrial partners and academic staff in universities and institutes
Job Requirements:
- Master's degree in Orthopaedic Biomechanics
- Experience in Biomechanics and Orthopedic Implant studies
- Competent in CAD software such as Autodesk Powershape and Meshmixer
- Experience in 3D printing technology
- Lab management, exposure to medical writing and manuscript writing for publications in scientific journals

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.
The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility:
• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university.
Terms and Conditions:
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
