Job Details
The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering invites applications for the position as Research Fellow.
The Research Fellow will work on the fouling control of membrane system, including bacterial strain revival, reactor inoculation and maintenance, DNA extraction and other molecular analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop research objectives
- Design and conduct experiments
- Analyzing data and drafting project reports, publications and/or patents
- Writing proposals and delivering presentations
- Mentoring undergraduate or graduate students
- Assisting management with budget and time schedules
Job Requirements:
- PhD degree in relevant area
- Past work experiences in microbiology and reactor running
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and advance thinking
- Ability to communicate complex and conceptual ideas to a range of groups
- Ability to collaborate actively within the University and externally to complete research projects
- Possess the capability to balance the pressures of research, administrative demands and competing deadlines

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.
The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility:
• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university.
Terms and Conditions:
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
