This full-time fixed-term post will provide cover for Professor Helen Fulton who will hold a Leverhulme Major Research Fellowship for two years, from 1 October 2020 to 30 September 2022. The purpose of the post is to provide teaching and related administrative support in the Department of English. The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in English Literature (or a closely related field) and will contribute to teaching in Medieval Studies and to other areas of the Department’s curriculum as required, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Teaching should be research-led, which may include relevant pedagogical research. The person appointed will be a full member of the Department of English and will play an active role in the Department and in the larger School of Humanities and Faculty of Arts.

Start date: 1st October 2020

  2. to deliver a 10-minute presentation demonstrating how they would teach an aspect of their research to a classroom of Year 1 university students.
