The successful candidate will:

  • conduct research on solidarity in the EU from both empirical and normative perspectives (for example, with respect to EMU, refugee law, enlargement, the COVID crisis, and/or free movement);
  • contribute to the writing of books, papers and articles on justice and solidarity in the EU;
  • contribute as required to any seminars (including research seminars), conferences or other events associated with the project, including occasional assistance as rapporteur as requested;
  • participate as required in the dissemination of the programme’s results to academics, policy makers and the public (also via social media and the web).

This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract from 1 September 2020 until 31 August 2022

The selection process will include an assessment of a writing sample, two letters of reference, CV, and statement of interests. There will be an interview of shortlisted candidates.
