A postdoctoral research fellow (PDF) position is immediately available at School of Biological Sciences, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. The PDF will focus on developing mass spectrometry-based proteomics strategy using ETD/HCD/MRM/PRM in Orbitrap for studying cardiovascular diseases. Candidates with doctorate degree and strong background in mass spectrometry, protein chemistry, proteomics, and molecular biology are strongly encouraged to apply. The positions require highly motivated individuals who have both drive and initiative. The starting salary will be commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform proteomics research
  • Maintain high resolution LC-MS/MS instrument
  • Supervise junior research staff and graduate student
  • Draft manuscript

Requirements

  • Candidates with doctorate degree and strong background in mass spectrometry, protein chemistry, proteomics, and molecular biology
  • The positions require highly motivated individuals who have both drive and initiative
  • Relevant experience of more than 3 years
  • Publications in the related field

About Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF)

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.

The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility: 

• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university. 

Terms and Conditions: 
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.  
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
