Job Description Summary

This research position is to undertake murine research with biosafety level 3 pathogens. Responsibilities include but are not limited to completing animal infections, animal handling, disease monitoring, tissue collection and analysis. Individuals must maintain detailed records of experiments and results and will additionally be responsible for providing quality control monitoring and decontamination of laboratory spaces.

Job Description

This research position is to undertake murine research with biosafety level  3 pathogens. Incumbent is responsible research procedures (bench and animal) in a high contamination laboratory (ABSL-3). Responsibilities include but are not limited to completing animal infections, animal handling, disease monitoring, tissue collection and analysis. The ability to work independently, diligently and responsibly are essential. Individuals must maintain detailed records of experiments and results and will additionally be responsible for providing quality control monitoring and decontamination of laboratory spaces. This position is essential.

Qualifications

A Master's degree and 3-5 years experience or an equivalent combination is required. Major skill sets required are excellent organization, communication (written and verbal), and extraordinary attention and adherence to procedure and detail. Previous experience with murine research and/or pathogens is required. Experience with both is preferred.
