Applications are invited for the appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the School of Chinese Medicine (Ref.: 500389), to commence as soon as possible for two years with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree and proven experience in Molecular and Cellular Neurology, Neuropharmacology, Chemical Biology and/or Chinese Medicine.  Experience in experimental animal models of stroke and neurodegenerative disease, and/or clinical investigation will be an advantage.  They should be an outstanding and self-motivated researcher with proven research track record in international publications; have a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua), and the ability to work independently.  The appointee is expected to be involved in various research projects.  He/She will join a multidisciplinary research group to conduct the studies on drug discovery and explore molecular mechanisms of Chinese Herbal Medicine for stroke and neurodegenerative diseases; assist in laboratory research activities; and have the opportunity to collaborate with the scientists from HKU, Mainland China and North America.
