Job Description

We are seeking a motivated, creative and interactive individual to join our group as a Senior Research Investigator to play an integral role in our continuing translational cancer research projects with our academic and industrial partners. Specifically, the candidate will play an integral role in supporting our multiple projects relating to tissue-based assays, including histology, immunohistochemistry (IHC), multiplex immunofluorescence (IF), microscopy, digital image analysis as well as other technologies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning, performing and interpreting experiments
  • Conducting biomedical research in the area of tumor microenvironment
  • Analyzing and presenting data
  • Preparing manuscripts and research proposals


Ph.D. with a minimum of 5 years experience. An extensive knowledge of histological techniques, IHC/IF principles and interpreting immuno-stains in tissues is required. Experience in multiplex IF, including assay development, antibody selection and optimization is a plus. A strong understanding of microscopy (including brightfield, confocal and 2-photon), digital-imaging platforms, image quantification and interpretation is important. Preference will be given to individuals with experience in cancer biology and those who have been previously trained in animal models of disease. The ability to collaborate and clearly communicate written and verbal scientific objectives and project results is required. This position is contingent upon funding.
