A Research Fellow position is available in the School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
Job Description
- Deposit 2D materials
- Design and fabricate novel ternary logic devices
- Characterize the devices, summarize the data achieved, and draft academic reports/journal papers
Job Requirements
- Ph.D in Physics, Materials Science and Engineering, or Electrical and Electronic Engineering
- Experience in deposition of 2D materials with sputtering, pulsed laser deposition or CVD
- Strong background in design of 2D materials based devices
- Extensive experience in the area of micro/nano-fabrication based on 2D materials (e.g. preparation of van der Waals heterostructures, device fabrication with UV/electron beam lithography, etc)
- Extensive experience in the area of device characterization (low temperature, high magnetic field, etc)
- High quality publications in reputed journals, such as Science, Nature, Nature Nanotechnology, and Advanced Materials
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a group and independently

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.
The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility:
• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university.
Terms and Conditions:
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
