Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow (2 posts) in the Department of Chemistry (Ref.: 500319), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, and related background in synthetic chemistry and/or molecular luminescent metal complexes. They should have good knowledge of, and extensive experience in chemical synthesis and characterization of organic ligands and metal complexes. Those with experience in photophysical measurements would have an advantage. Proficiency in written and spoken English, good organizational skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to work independently are essential. The appointees will work on the development of luminescent metal complexes for OLED applications under the supervision of Professor C.M. Che. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.
